My client is looking for an experienced Interim Head of Finance, Audit Risk to join the team immediately for a an initial 3 month period (with the opportunity to be extended). This is an exciting opportunity to lead the team and take responsibility for governance, audit coordination and risk management. Client Details Small organisation based in Medway. Description · Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and statutory reporting. · Oversee governance frameworks and ensure compliance with corporate, regulatory, and shareholder requirements. · Support Board and Audit Risk Committee activities, providing clear and accurate reporting. · Manage external audit processes, coordinate auditor engagement, and implement recommendations. · Maintain and develop the corporate risk management framework and risk register. · Ensure effective financial controls, compliance procedures, and fraud prevention measures are in place. · Monitor commercial performance, including pricing, margins, working capital, and financial sustainability. · Conduct benchmarking and value-for-money assessments to support operational efficiency and competitiveness. · Provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership, balancing governance obligations with commercial objectives. · Drive continuous improvement across finance, assurance, risk, and reporting processes. Profile My client is looking for someone with the following experience / background: Fully Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) Senior finance experience ideally within a LATCO or similar smaller company environment Direct experience working with Boards and Audit Risk Committees You will be comfortable operating in a hands-on capacity, and be a pragmatic and commercially minded individual. You should be available to start this role immediately. Job Offer Up to £75,000 dependent on experience Access to the company pension scheme Life insurance Initially the role will be offered on a 3 month Fixed Term Contract with the possibility of an extension or permanent role thereafter. My client will consider candidates that would rather work on a part-time basis - those looking for 3 or 4 days a week will still be considered.
