Deputy Director of Finance in Kent

As Deputy Director of Finance you will oversee the financial reporting and transactional finance team. You will play a key role as part of the SLT for this 6 month Interim role. Client Details Kent based Charity completing meaningful work in their field. Description As Interim Deputy Director of Finance your responsibilities will include: Manage the team across Financial Reporting and Financial Operations Oversee Month End Reporting Processes and internal deadlines Review External Financial reporting for different contracts Proceed with process development of the Finance system and new modules Identify and correct control weaknesses with new appropriate processes Ensure control and reporting fund accounting throughout different income streams. Establish relationships with contract leads and significant budget holders You will be a member of the Senior Leadership team, and will play a key part in the running of the operational finance team for 6 months as a minimum. Profile My client is looking for someone with the following experience: - Experience of working at a Senior finance level, either as Financial Controller, Finance Manager, Finance Director or Head of Finance, along with experience of managing a team. - An understanding of Charities SORP and Fund Accounting would be preferable. - Experience of working with Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central would be useful. - The ability to start at short notice and fully commit to 6 months. The team you are managing are Dover based, so although this role can be based anywhere, you must be able to visit Dover to see the team on a regular basis. My client would also consider someone who is looking to work 4 days per week. Job Offer A day rate of up to £350 per day (paye) or £400 per day (umbrella) dependent on experience. The opportunity to work mostly from home with occasional travel to Dover. If preferred, the ability to work 4 days per week.
