The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of accounting principles and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including preparation of journals, managing control accounts, and performing regular balance sheet reconciliations.

Description:
- Manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Monitor cash flow and manage company investments.
- Prepare the Monthly Management Accounts Pack.
- Prepare and post revenue journal entries in accordance with established accounting standards and company policies.
- Maintain and reconcile control accounts (e.g., revenue, cash, credit cards etc.).
- Conduct a range of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and month-end/year-end closing activities.
- Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and explanations.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure financial data integrity and resolve any inconsistencies.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as required.
- Comply with internal controls and financial policies.
Profile: A successful Finance Manager should have:
- Solid knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting standards.
- Experience preparing journals and performing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Understanding of control accounts and their role in financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation.
- Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
