The Interim Senior Finance Business Partner will play a critical role in providing financial insight and guidance to support strategic decision-making within our global client. Based in central Oxford, this temporary role requires expertise in accounting and finance to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Description

  • Delivery of financial results: Ensure that Turnover and Surplus budgets are on track or ahead of target. Review of product mix, customer mix, pricing and their impacts on trading margins are also on target.
  • Definition and delivery of strategy: Collaborate with leadership to define and develop and clearly articulate strategic priorities. Develop appropriate KPIs ensuring measurement and execution against them.
  • Planning, budgeting and forecasting: Delivery of a quality and timely strategy, five year plan and budget.
  • Commercial Support: Provide forward looking commercial support, provide sound commercial advice on business issues and develop appropriate lead indicators to better illustrate business performance.
  • Commercial Support - Projects: Prepare investment appraisals using appropriate financial frameworks, ensuring alignment with longer-term priorities. Develop benefit tracking to demonstrate Return on Investment for investments and marketing spend.
  • Commercial Finance Leadership: Evidence of high standards of delivery, and of open, honest, and trusting relationship building as part of the Finance Leadership team.

Profile

This role would suit a senior Finance Business Partner/ Commercial Finance Manager from a bluechip, large and complex organisation capable of influencing strategy at C-suite level.

A successful Interim Senior Finance Business Partner should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Extensive experience in global large complex organisations.
  • Extensive experience business partnering senior executives (Divisions with £100m revenues).
  • Operated at Director or Head Of level in Business Partnering and/or FP&A.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven and complex environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to attend the office in Central Oxford at least once per week (ideally 2 days office, 3 days home).
