Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor budgets and provide financial insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Produce statutory accounts.
  • Support the preparation of audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
  • Develop and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial processes align with organisational goals.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to stakeholders and senior management.

A successful Interim Financial Accountant should:

  • Be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified.
  • Have proven experience in financial accounting within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Be comfortable with statutory accounts.
  • Have prior experience mentoring junior accountants.

Competitive daily rate of £225-£250/day. Part-time opportunity with flexibility.
