Description
- Deliver the corporate plan on time and to budget
- Create and build effective relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders.
- Be accountable for delivering the MTFS plan
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Lead initiatives to improve financial efficiency and sustainability.
- Collaborate with various departments like councillors and other boroughs.
- Manage and develop the finance team - 4 reports.
Profile
A successful Head of Financial Strategy will have:
- Proven Head of Finance experience in financial planning and strategy within Local Government.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
- Relevant professional qualifications in accounting or finance.
Job Offer
- Daily rate of £650 - £800, dependent on the level of experience.
- Temporary role based in London.
