Description

The Group Finance Manager will own the Group close, consolidation and reporting across the UK, US and France in line with UK GAAP (FRS 102). Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the role leads the monthly close, manages the Group audit, and oversees Group tax, intercompany and treasury, while helping professionalise the finance function as the Group grows through M&A.

  • Own the Group close process, ensuring all teams close by working day 5/6 each month and periods are locked on schedule
  • Oversee the monthly Group consolidation and oversee balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure any board deliverables are delivered on time
  • Lead the Group audit with the regional Finance leads and auditors, delivering signed accounts within 2-3 months of year end
  • Oversee annual consolidated accounts and the transition to amended FRS 102.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvements within the group controls over sales tax.
  • Managing multiple deadlines and priorities across a fast moving organisation.
  • Manage Group tax projects with advisors, including UK structure simplification and intercompany formalisation
  • Own intercompany: monthly, transfer pricing and clearing historic balances.
  • Oversee Group Treasury, including cash forecasting, banking relationships and FX
  • Put guard rails in place (treasury / intercompany policy, bank mandates, HMRC compliance, payment approvals)
  • Identify and deliver improvements to the treasury function.
  • Support with ad hoc analysis to the Group FC
  • Maintain Group accounting policies and controls and provide technical guidance
  • Integrate acquisitions into Group reporting and controls partnering where necessary with the US Finance team.
  • Oversee the Group reporting function and the cash allocation transactional team to ensure concerns are addressed and any future development in the systems is well thought out.

Profile

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, with ideally 3 years' post-qualification experience
  • Group consolidation experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency business
  • Audit background preferred
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS
  • Working knowledge of group tax, intercompany and treasury
  • Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP; strong Excel skills
  • PE-backed experience is desirable
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and problem solving skills

Salary Β£75,000 - Β£85,000
