The Financial Assurance and Compliance Manager will focus on maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. Based in Oxfordshire, this temporary role plays a key part in supporting the organisation's financial stability and accountability.

Description

  • Oversee financial assurance processes to maintain compliance with organisational policies.
  • Review and improve internal controls to ensure strong financial governance.
  • Conduct compliance audits and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance and financial procedures.
  • Prepare detailed reports on financial assurance and compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with various departments to address compliance concerns.
  • Support the implementation of new financial policies and practices.

Profile

  • A recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Significant experience in financial assurance, governance, enterprise risk, internal controls, compliance or audit.
  • Practical knowledge of financial control frameworks and assurance methodologies.
  • Strong counter-fraud experience, including fraud risk assessments and the prevention, detection and response to suspected fraud.
  • Experience supporting or conducting fraud investigations.
  • Sound professional judgement when dealing with confidential, complex or sensitive matters.
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • The ability to identify patterns, systemic weaknesses and opportunities for sustainable improvement.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing a team.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and lead change across a complex organisation.

Job Offer

  • Daily rate of Β£400 to Β£450, dependent on the level of experience.
  • Temporary position offering valuable experience
