The Financial Accounting Officer will play a key role in supporting the Accounting Finance department by managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assisting with reporting processes. The role will be working for an Arms Length Body and be based at a location around north London, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire or Leeds.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing purchase and sales ledgers
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
  • Perform reconciliations, including bank accounts and balance sheets
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and prepayments
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and analysis
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems

Profile:

The successful Financial Accounting Officer should have relevant qualifications in accounting or finance (active CCAB studier or AAT Level 4) and experience in financial reporting.
