As Management Accountant you will be supporting the Head of Finance in the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting across the UK, US and ROI businesses. This will include assisting with management accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, audit support and compliance activities, whilst working closely with the wider finance team to improve reporting quality and efficiency.
Management Accounting and Reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
- Assist with month-end close processes
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Produce variance analysis and commentary
- Assist in the preparation of board and management reporting packs
- Support reporting across UK, US and ROI entities
Analysis & Business Support
- Analyse financial performance and trends
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Assist with profitability and cost analysis
- Support KPI reporting and business performance monitoring
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis as required
Audit, Compliance & Controls
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
- Support external audit processes
- Assist with VAT, tax and other compliance requirements
- Support the maintenance of strong financial controls
- Assist with finance process improvements
Finance Team Support
- Supporting with supervising an Accounts Assistant
- Work closely with the Head of Finance on reporting and finance projects
- Collaborate with the wider finance team across UK, US and ROI operations
- Provide support and cover for other finance functions where required
- Assist with implementation of new systems, processes and automation initiatives
Profile
To apply for this position you do not need experience of all of the above duties. However, you will ideally have or be studying an accounting qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA or AAT, and you must have / be:
- Previous experience preparing management accounts
- Strong Excel skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Proactive and a self-starter
- Strong communication skills
Job Offer
