Job Description As a Facilities & Maintenance Officer, you'll oversee the day-to-day upkeep of facilities, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Based in Southampton, this role is key to maintaining a safe and functional environment for all.

Our client is based in Southampton, and due to a growth period the team are looking for additional support.
Description

  • Manage the maintenance and repair of all facilities, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for planned and emergency works.
  • Oversee building inspections and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent downtime.
  • Monitor budgets and control costs related to facilities management.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and compliance documentation.
  • Lead a small team to ensure effective delivery of facilities services.
  • Respond promptly to any facility-related emergencies or issues.

Profile
A successful Facilities & Maintenance Lead should have:

  • Experience in facilities or maintenance management.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and controlling costs.
  • Leadership skills to guide and motivate a team.
  • Practical problem-solving abilities for maintenance issues.

Job Offer

  • Salary ranging from Β£38,000 - Β£40,000 per annum, dependent on the level of experience.
  • Permanent position based in Southampton.
