As a direct result of the group's expansion plans and continued success, we are seeking a dynamic Senior Group Finance Manager to be based at the Head Office. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of the Finance team inclusive of preparing and reviewing financial performance and having an input on key commercial decision making.
Our client is a dynamic, fast paced multi purpose business based in Plymouth. With an acquisitive nature, they have continued to expand in even the most challenging of economic environments.
Reporting to the CFO and responsible for the various business channels (UK/IRE/Online), the Senior Group Finance Manager will be responsible for:
- Forecasting, budgeting, consolidation, margin analysis and commercial input.
- Overseeing and assisting in the production of the monthly management accounts.
- Reviewing, understanding and challenging the figures.
- Daily and monthly cashflow monitoring and analysis.
- Finance business partnering with key teams throughout the wider business.
- Identifying and implementing team and reporting efficiencies.
- Analysis of all income stream performance data, giving recommendations on potential changes to maximise profitability.
- Modelling and projecting the financial impact of proposed new business scenarios.
- Sensitivity analysis of existing group profitability, proposing areas of opportunity and concern to focus on.
- Adhoc tasks as required.
This is a high profile role in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following:
- Experience in a commercial organisation.
- Experience analysing large data sets, identifying trends and issues, and proposing recommendations.
- Strong Excel skills, with experience of financial modelling.
- Professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or similar).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- The confidence to challenge existing practices and seek improvements.
- Experience leading a team.
