Our client is a well established construction company seeking a part time HR assistant to join the team to assist the HR manager with day to day operations.
Description
- Assist with day to day operations including employee queries, HR documentation and maintaining accurate employee records.
- Support the recruitment process including liaising with recruiters, screening applications, coordinating interviews and onboarding new staff and recruitment of apprentices.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees, providing guidance on policies and procedures and assist the HR manager with ER matters.
- Support line management with annual performance appraisal process and probationary reviews, ensuring documentation is filed appropriately.
- Maintain and update the HR database in line with any absence, contract changes made or new starters/leavers.
- Conduct pre-employment checks and reference requests.
- Process leavers, conduct exit interviews and analyse leaver data.
- Produce standard references for leavers as required.
- Process DBS checks and other client specific vetting procedures.
- Organise Occupational Health checks for staff and ensure follow ups are arranged.
Profile
- CIPD level 3 qualified or equivalent experience within HR.
- A good understanding of HR processes and best practices, including recruitment, ER and performance management.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in administrative tasks.
- Able to meet deadlines and adapt to the needs of the role as may be required.
- Experience with HR systems and proficiency in MS Office.
- Able to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
