This is a fantastic opportunity for a Credit Control professional to join the finance department of a leading company in the distribution industry. Based in Darlington, this role involves managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely payments from customers.

Client Details

My client operate within the distribution sector. The role offers hybrid working, and is paying up to £27k with a monthly bonus.

Description

  • Manage and monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Proactively chase overdue accounts and resolve outstanding payment issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of credit control activities and customer interactions.
  • Generate and distribute regular statements and reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address account discrepancies.
  • Assess and mitigate credit risks by analysing customer creditworthiness.
  • Support the Accounting & Finance department with ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.

Profile

The successful Credit Controller will have:

  • Previous experience in credit control or a related accounting function.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Confidence in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • An understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
