Client Details: Well-established business in the Cheshire part of a wider UK group. The business operates across multiple sites and has recently been through a period of change and restructure. They are now looking to appoint a Project Accountant on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support the finance function with a number of key improvement initiatives.
Description: This is a hands-on, project-focused role, working closely with the finance team to strengthen processes, controls and reporting. Key areas of focus include:
- Reviewing and improving a highly manual invoicing process, with a view to automation
- Process mapping and documentation across the finance function
- Supporting IFRS 16 lease work
- Improving balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting and improving month-end close processes
- Balance sheet reporting processes
Profile: Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), supported on finance and process improvement projects, hands-on approach and knows what 'good looks like' in a finance function, available at short notice.
Job Offer: Circa £60,000 salary (potentially up to £65,000), 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), hybrid working - 3 days on site, 6-month fixed-term contract initially, possibility of long term role.
