Description
- Act as the senior finance partner to Operations and Technical leadership teams.
- Drive financial performance across manufacturing and operational functions.
- Support major business transformation and operational change initiatives.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning activities.
- Deliver insightful analysis on business performance, risks and opportunities.
- Partner with operational leaders to improve efficiency, productivity and profitability.
- Provide financial leadership on supplier strategy, sourcing decisions and operational risk management.
- Own and enhance manufacturing cost reporting, standard costing and variance analysis processes.
- Develop investment appraisals and business cases supporting strategic projects and capital expenditure.
- Drive accountability through meaningful KPI reporting and performance management.
- Maintain a visible presence within manufacturing operations and engage closely with site leadership.
- Strengthen financial controls, governance and decision-support capabilities across the business.
Profile
A successful Head of Finance - Business Partnering should have:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Significant experience in a senior finance leadership role within manufacturing, engineering, industrial or technology-led environments.
- Strong operational finance and business partnering credentials.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing finance, standard costing and variance analysis.
- Experience supporting manufacturing transformation, operational change or supply chain initiatives.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and executive leadership teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting strategic business decisions.
- Experience partnering operational, engineering or technical functions.
- Excellent analytical, financial modelling and planning capabilities.
- Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on within a manufacturing environment.
