Description
Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:
- Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments in line with company policies.
- Reconcile supplier statements and address any discrepancies effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions within the accounting system.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment or invoicing queries.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal controls.
- Prepare reports on accounts payable activities as required by management.
- Assist in month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable.
- Support ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Specialist should have:
- Previous experience in accounts payable or a related finance role.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
