Senior Financial Reporting Accountant - Contract in Birmingham

Job Description This Interim Senior Accountant role in the industrial and manufacturing sector involves overseeing key financial processes to ensure smooth operations and compliance. You'll play a pivotal role in managing financial reporting, budgeting, and supporting strategic decision-making. A company operating in the industrial and manufacturing sector based in Birmingham. Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Manage balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls. Analyse manufacturing costs, margins, stock movements, and operational performance. Partner with operational and production teams to provide financial insight and challenge. Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors where required. Support process improvement initiatives across finance and wider business operations. Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and internal policies. Experience in the industrial or manufacturing sector is desirable. Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Proven Senior Accountant, Financial Accountant, or Management Accountant role. Strong understanding of cost accounting, stock accounting, and manufacturing reporting. Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems. Confident communicator capable of working effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Daily rate of £428 to £523, dependent on the level of experience. Potential for contract extension depending on business requirements.
