We are seeking a Programme Manager to lead and manage strategic initiatives within the business services industry. This temporary role requires expertise in delivering consultancy, strategy, and change projects effectively while ensuring client satisfaction.
Our client is a large, well established UK organisation headquartered in Birmingham, and a growing national footprint. Operating in a fast moving SaaS environment, the organisation delivers technology enabled solutions to a broad customer base and is focused on continued growth, scalability and operational maturity.
The business is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to help define, shape and deliver this strategically critical initiative. Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer, the role will take ownership of a key pillar of the transformation agenda, coordinating a portfolio of interdependent, finance sponsored projects focused on internal growth, systems improvement and scalable change.
Operating within a fast paced SaaS environment, this is a high visibility assignment requiring strong programme level governance, stakeholder management and the ability to bring structure to an early stage programme.
Description
- Own and govern a portfolio of multiple, concurrent transformation projects, ensuring effective planning, execution and management of interdependencies.
- Establish and chair programme governance forums, providing clear reporting on status, risks, metrics, decisions and change.
- Work closely with project leads to embed consistent controls, reporting and delivery discipline.
- Ensure each work stream has a robust change and adoption approach, spanning people, process and systems.
- Partner with internal OCM, L&D and Communications teams to deliver impact led, persona based change and communications.
- Identify, manage, mitigate or escalate programme risks and issues relating to delivery, cost, timelines, tools and resources.
- Track and present baselines, benchmarks and outcomes, ensuring benefits realisation is visible and measurable.
- Complete post project retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
- Act as a trusted partner to senior finance leaders, executives and transformation sponsors across the organisation.
Profile
You will be a senior Programme Manager with a strong track record of delivering complex transformation initiatives within technology led or SaaS organisations.
You will bring:
- Experience leading multi project, high visibility programmes, ideally in PE backed environments.
- Strong exposure to systems and tool implementation and process led transformation.
- Confidence working in ambiguity, helping define and structure programmes that are not yet fully formed.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior finance and executive sponsors.
- A delivery driven, structured but pragmatic approach, able to operate at pace.
- Strong analytical, communication and decision making capability.
- Programme/project management certification (PRINCE2, PMI or equivalent preferred).
- Organisational Change Management experience (PROSCI or equivalent preferred).
