A well-established highly regarded and successful accountancy practice based in Exeter is looking for an Audit and Accounts Manager to join their team. You will lead on audit service delivery alongside wider accounts and other general practice business services involvement, managing the delivery of services to a wide range of the firm's clients.
Based in Exeter, this chartered firm acts for a diverse range of clients across various industries, including sole traders, partnerships, limited company OMBs, SMEs, and groups with audit clients typically up to £20 million in turnover, with the largest clients up to £100 million, as well as charity clients. The firm offers a good work-life balance within a relaxed, team-oriented environment, while providing quality clients and work within a larger firm setting. The firm's audit clients are located within the immediate Devon region, minimising away work required. A mix of remote/home working and office involvement can also work well, with a minimum of 3 days in the office per week. The firm also offers flexible hours and competitive benefits and salaries.
As an Audit and Accounts Manager, reporting directly to the partners, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of audit and accountancy services across a wide-ranging portfolio. You will manage teams and individuals to deliver this work, provide coaching and support to junior staff, review and finalise work, and prepare reports. You will have a high commitment to quality and take responsibility for ensuring that the quality of service is maintained. This key hire comes at a stage of growth and development within the firm, offering the right person a clear path for progression and a key role in the firm's ongoing success and development.
For this role, you will be ACA or ACCA qualified, with a demonstrable career background in the accountancy practice sector, with experience in audit or audit/accounts management.
