We are partnering with a diverse business undergoing a period of transformation and growth. The finance function is in a transition period, there is an immediate need for a hands-on, adaptable Assistant Accountant/Management Accountant to support across a broad range of duties in Chester.
This is initially an 8-week assignment with strong potential to extend, based in Chester, offering exposure to a fast-paced environment where you'll play a key role in maintaining continuity while processes evolve.
Key responsibilities include:
- Accounts Payable: raising POs, matching and processing invoices
- Accounts Receivable: sales invoicing, cash allocation, and credit control
- Managing delivery notes and supporting operational finance processes
- Supporting expense platforms
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with journals and accruals and month-end processes
- Documenting existing processes and identifying improvements
- Providing broader support across the finance team during a period of change
