The Asssistant Accountant position is best suited to a commercial yet technically minded person, strong competence in accounting with the ability to understand transactions sufficiently to prepare bookkeeping and a full set of accounts without extensive support. They will need to be a driven individual who is keen to develop their management potential, leading client services and taking on significant responsibility. Client Details My client is a specialist financial services business, with 10 offices across the Europe, the US and Asia, with this role based at their Whiteley site. Description To provide accounting support for the frim’s jurisdictions accounting teams and support on the client relationships for the allocated portfolio(s) Build positive, effective and efficient jurisdiction, client and team relationships Prepare, review, organise and help train on the delivery of key services including but not limited to: Bookkeeping for all transactions and activity across a range of funds, SPVs and structure companies Preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS or UK GAAP, both at asset and fund level, including supporting files and review of work produced by team where applicable Compile and analyse financial information underlying the financial statements, including the treatment of business transactions
