Description
AP Assistant responsibilities:
- Process supplier invoices and ensure they are accurately recorded in the system
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly
- Prepare payment runs
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and documentation
- Collaborate with the wider Accounting & Finance team to support month-end closing activities
- Respond to supplier queries in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with the implementation of process improvements within the accounts payable function
- Support the team with ad hoc administrative tasks as required
Profile
A successful AP Assistant should have:
- Previous experience or a strong interest in accounts payable or a similar role
- A keen eye for detail and a high level of accuracy in their work
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is beneficial
