Description
Duties for the Accounts Payable Assistant:
- Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile supplier statements.
- Prepare payment runs and maintain accurate payment records.
- Monitor accounts payable mailbox and respond to queries in a timely manner.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including reporting and reconciliations.
- Support internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Maintain vendor records and ensure all data is up-to-date and accurate.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and systems.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:
- A background in accounting or finance.
- Experience with accounts payable processes and financial systems.
- A strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software and MS Excel.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Lives a commutable distance to Amersham.
