  • Manage a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors, serving as their primary point of contact for accounting and business advisory services.
  • Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, and financial reports for SMEs and larger corporate clients.
  • Lead client meetings, identify business improvement opportunities, and provide strategic financial advice.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, overseeing workflow and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Contribute to practice development through identifying new service opportunities and supporting business development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality procedures.
  • Work closely with Partners on complex client matters and special projects.

Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Demonstrable experience at Manager level within a practice environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
  • Team leadership experience with proven ability to develop others.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to provide value-added advice to clients.
  • Experience with accounting software packages including Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
