Description

The key responsibilities of this Accounts Payable Assistant role will be:

  • Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and on time
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Manage AP inbox and respond to queries in a professional manner
  • Assist with weekly and monthly payment runs
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Support month-end close by preparing reports and reconciliations
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth purchase-to-pay processes
  • Help identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency
  • Ensure VAT and coding compliance on all invoices
  • Provide general support to the finance team as needed

Profile

A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:

  • At least three years experience in a similar accountancy position
  • Proficiency in SAP accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • A strong understanding of financial principles and practices
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
  • A meticulous approach to work with strong attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
