Description
We're currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant (with a Credit Control focus) to join a finance team in Bradford on an ongoing temporary basis, expected to run until at least the end of July, with potential for extension. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience who enjoys working across credit control and cash processes, but isn't looking for a purely phone-based collections role.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the credit control function as the sole person responsible for this area
- Chasing outstanding debt via email and phone in a professional, relationship-focused manner
- Maintaining and updating customer accounts
- Posting and reconciling the cash book
- Assisting with journals and general finance admin
- Supporting the wider finance team where required
Profile
- Previous experience in credit control and/or accounts assistant roles
- Confident communicator with a professional, proactive approach
- Comfortable managing responsibilities independently
- Strong attention to detail, particularly with cash and reconciliations
- Good Excel and systems skills

Working Pattern
Full-time, office-based role 36.25 hours per week
Monday - Thursday: 8:30am - 4:30pm (30-minute lunch)
Friday: 8:30am - 3:15pm
