We are looking for a detail-focused Accounts Assistant or Accounts Payable Specialist to join an experienced finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within finance and become an important part of a busy and supportive accounts function.
The key responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant will include:
- Processing purchase and sales invoices
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery documentation
- Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate supplier and customer records
- Reconciling bank and control accounts
- Supporting month-end processes and reporting
- Maintaining accurate financial records and filing
- Assisting the wider finance team with general accounting and administrative duties
A successful Accounts Assistant will have:
- Previous accounts payable experience - essential
- Knowledge of CIS and DRC VAT - highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent time-management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different departments
- Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365/ Business Central / NAV would be advantageous
Job Offer:
- £28,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Primarily office-based in Bredbury with Hybrid working available following successful completion of training/probation
