Description
Management Accountant responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts to provide clear financial insights.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning.
- Maintain and reconcile financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Analyse variances and provide recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with auditors as required.
- Oversee cash flow management and assist with financial planning.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- A recognised accounting qualification or part-qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Experience within the retail industry or a similar sector.
- Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Job Offer
- Salary between Β£45,000 and Β£55,000, dependent on the level of experience.
