Description

The Bookkeeper's responsibilities include:

  • Take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping across the business.
  • Manage the purchase-to-pay and order-to-cash processes, including invoice processing, payment runs, and credit control.
  • Maintain accurate financial records through regular bank, supplier, customer, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Process journals and assist with month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments, and ledger maintenance.
  • Monitor cash flow and support effective cash management across the organisation.
  • Assist with VAT submissions, audit requirements, and compliance-related finance activities.
  • Work closely with the Finance Director to improve processes, support reporting, and contribute to the smooth running of the finance function.

Profile

A successful Bookkeeper should have:

  • Experience in bookkeeping or a related accounting role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • An eye for detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • A good understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
