Michael Page are supporting a growing organisation in their search for an Assistant Accountant in Nottingham.

This is a permanent opportunity where the successful Assistant Accountant will work closely with the Financial Controller in Nottingham.

Client Details

Our client is a successful business in Nottingham and looking to add a permanent Assistant Accountant to their team.

This role would suit someone who studying towards their AAT level 4 and looking to continue their studies to CIMA / ACCA.

This is a office based role in Nottingham.

Description

  • Assist in preparing management accounts and financial reports.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in financial records.
  • Monitor and analyse financial data to identify trends or discrepancies.
  • Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights.
  • Help maintain compliance with financial regulations and policies.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the finance team.
  • Support the preparation for audits and liaise with auditors as needed.

Profile

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Experience in a similar position.
  • Experience with financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • A good understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • A relevant qualification or working towards one (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA).

Job Offer

  • Salary ranging from Β£30,000 to Β£33,000, dependent on the level of experience.
  • Permanent role in Nottingham.
