Description
- Manage corporate tax compliance processes for a range of clients.
- Provide tax advisory services, identifying opportunities for clients to optimise their tax position.
- Review and approve tax computations prepared by junior team members.
- Maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for tax matters.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Support the development and training of junior staff within the tax department.
- Work closely with other departments to provide integrated client services.
- Assist in managing risk and ensuring quality control standards are met.
Profile
A successful Corporate Tax Manager should have:
- ATT/CTA qualified (essential).
- Ideally at least 3 years' PQE gained within a Tax practice.
- Strong experience advising OMBs on a range of tax issues, primarily corporate tax, with an understanding of income tax and capital gains tax matters affecting business owners.
- Exposure to VAT issues would be advantageous, although not essential.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop strong client connections.
- A proactive approach and genuine passion for tax and problem-solving.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality work to deadlines.
- Confidence working collaboratively within a team environment and supporting the development of junior team members.
- Experience gained within an accountancy practice or professional services environment.
