Description
- Prepare monthly management accounts across multiple Group entities.
- Review P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
- Produce Board reporting packs with clear commentary and commercial analysis.
- Own weekly short and long-term cash flow forecasting.
- Review and improve the monthly Group consolidation process.
- Prepare year-end statutory accounts.
- Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Support Companies House compliance and statutory filings.
- Develop and improve the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Improve KPI reporting and provide greater commercial insight to senior management.
- Support business plans and funding proposals.
- Drive automation and continuous improvement across finance processes and controls.
- Oversee VAT, PAYE, CIS and payroll-related activities.
- Support pension administration and other finance operations as required.
Profile
- A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Previous Financial Controller or senior finance experience.
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Experience managing external audits.
- Excellent Excel and wider Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong commercial and analytical capability.
- Experience working across a multi-entity or complex organisation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership.
- A track record of improving processes, controls and reporting.
