This is an excellent commercial opportunity with a nice blend of FP&A and business partnering responsibilities. This is a cover role while my client recruits on a permanent basis.

Client Details

My client are a well known and reputable business in the Somerset area. They are a market-leader supplying products, technology, and expertise to customers across the UK.

Description

The key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the delivery of budgets, forecasts, and longer-term financial planning
  • Partnering with multiple business units and stakeholders
  • Full KPI analysis including variances and collating the information to provide clear commentary and insight to the SLT
  • Preparing business packs, presentations, and reporting materials for stakeholders
  • Build strong relationships with non-finance stakeholders
  • Take ownership of current processes with a view to improving and making them more efficient
  • Contribute to month-end accounting, including OPEX and CAPEX reporting

Profile

The successful candidate:

  • A full and recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - QBE will also be considered
  • Prior FP&A experience is essential along with strong Excel skills
  • The ability to take ownership of current processes and suggest ways to make improvements
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience producing reporting, commentary, and presentations that explain the story behind the numbers
  • Experience with management reporting, Opex, and Capex
  • Exposure to SAP is not essential but is advantageous

Job Offer

A highly competitive day rate is on offer depending on experience. This role ideally would require 1 day a week on-site in Somerset but there is a lot of flexibility around this.
