Description

  • Provide general administrative support, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining client records.
  • Assist with processing invoices, expenses, and other financial documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and organised electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and client documentation.
  • Assist with data entry and ensure information is accurately recorded across internal systems.
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers, responding to queries and directing requests as appropriate.
  • Support financial administration, including bank reconciliations and tracking payments.
  • Assist the accounting team with ad hoc finance and bookkeeping tasks.
  • Help ensure records are maintained in line with company processes and compliance requirements.

Profile

A successful Finance Assistant should have:

  • Previous experience in an administrative, office support, or coordination role.
  • A finance, accounting, bookkeeping, or related background, qualification, or strong interest in finance.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when handling data and documentation.
  • Good numerical skills and confidence working with financial information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
  • A proactive and positive approach with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • Professionalism and discretion when dealing with confidential client and financial information.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience using accounting software or CRM systems would be advantageous but is not essential.

Job Offer

  • Salary ranging from Β£31,000 to Β£35,000, dependent on the level of experience.
  • Permanent position in Harpenden.
