Description
- Oversee financial assurance processes to maintain compliance with organisational policies.
- Review and improve internal controls to ensure strong financial governance.
- Conduct compliance audits and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards in the not-for-profit sector.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance and financial procedures.
- Prepare detailed reports on financial assurance and compliance activities.
- Collaborate with various departments to address compliance concerns.
- Support the implementation of new financial policies and practices.
Profile
- A recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Significant experience in financial assurance, governance, enterprise risk, internal controls, compliance or audit.
- Practical knowledge of financial control frameworks and assurance methodologies.
- Strong counter-fraud experience, including fraud risk assessments and the prevention, detection and response to suspected fraud.
- Experience supporting or conducting fraud investigations.
- Sound professional judgement when dealing with confidential, complex or sensitive matters.
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- The ability to identify patterns, systemic weaknesses and opportunities for sustainable improvement.
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
- Experience leading, coaching and developing a team.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and lead change across a complex organisation.
Job Offer
- Daily rate of Β£400 to Β£450, dependent on the level of experience.
