Accountant in Daventry

I'm recruiting for a Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant to join a leading Power Systems business based in Daventry on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support a busy finance team across financial reporting, payroll accounting, lease accounting, and month-end activities.

Description
The Accountant's duties will include but are not limited to:
Take ownership of lease accounting, ensuring accurate records and supporting quarterly audits.
Manage payroll accounting activities, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting.
Complete monthly and quarterly corporate reporting requirements.
Prepare and submit the annual PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) return.
Analyse and report Profit in Inventory (PII) variances.
Prepare and present Balance Sheet reviews during month-end meetings.
Produce annual tax pack submissions for two sites.
Support compliance with financial regulations, controls, and reporting requirements.
Profile
The successful candidate will be:
Actively studying for a finance qualication (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or have relevant experience.
Strong Excel skills are essential.
Previous experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end close, and balance sheet management.
Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
