Description
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of financial control, statutory reporting, management reporting, forecasting, treasury, taxation and compliance activities across the business. You will also lead and develop a capable finance team while partnering closely with operational and commercial stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Lead statutory reporting and year-end financial statement production under IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and oversee the annual audit process.
- Own monthly management reporting, forecasting and budgeting activities.
- Deliver meaningful financial analysis and commercial insight to senior stakeholders.
- Maintain and enhance the internal controls environment.
- Lead preparation for upcoming UK internal controls reforms.
- Drive treasury management, working capital improvements and cash flow forecasting.
- Oversee corporation tax, deferred tax and VAT compliance.
- Identify and implement finance process improvements and reporting automation initiatives.
- Act as the technical accounting lead and provide guidance across the finance function.
- Lead, coach and develop a small team of finance professionals
Profile
We are seeking a technically strong finance leader and you'll ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Strong technical accounting expertise
- Experience managing statutory reporting and external audits.
- Proven leadership experience and the ability to develop finance teams.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and finance transformation.
Job Offer
- Β£75,000 - Β£90,000 basic salary.
