Description
- Manage a portfolio of audit clients, leading engagements from initial planning through to successful completion.
- Deliver audits efficiently and on schedule, ensuring compliance with relevant auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and firm policies.
- Lead audit planning and completion meetings, while developing and empowering senior team members to assume greater responsibility.
- Serve as the primary client contact, building and maintaining strong, long-term professional relationships.
- Identify and escalate technical and commercial matters to the Responsible Individual (RI), recommending practical and effective solutions where appropriate.
- Oversee audit resource allocation, proactively highlighting resourcing requirements and potential challenges to the RI.
- Provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to audit team members throughout the audit lifecycle.
- Review audit files and working papers to a consistently high standard prior to RI review.
- Review statutory financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and disclosure requirements.
- Coach, mentor, and support the professional development of team members, delivering training and driving continuous improvement across the audit function.
Profile
A successful Audit Manager should have:
- A professional qualification in accounting, such as ACA or ACCA.
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and practices.
- Experience managing audit projects and leading teams.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
- An analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
Job Offer
- Salary ranging from Β£55,000 to Β£75,000 dependent on the level of experience.
- Permanent position based near Chatham.
