Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for a fully qualified accountant to put their stamp on this newly created role as Financial Controller.
Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller will be responsible for (but not limited to);
- Lead and develop the financial operations teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure strong financial controls, balance sheet integrity and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Own treasury management, cash flow forecasting and working capital oversight.
- Lead statutory reporting, audit processes and tax compliance activities.
- Drive finance systems improvements, automation and process optimisation initiatives.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to provide accurate, timely and insightful financial information.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate financial reports and statements.
Profile
A successful Financial Controller should have:
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting processes.
- Experience in financial management within a large complex organisation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems.
- Ability to lead and develop a finance team effectively.
- Strong communication skills to convey financial insights clearly.
Job Offer

- Salary of £70,000 to £80,000 dependent on the level of experience.
