Key Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end and year-end reporting processes
  • Maintain ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and financial control accounts
  • Oversee VAT compliance, returns, and HMRC requirements
  • Support statutory accounts preparation and external audits
  • Provide technical accounting expertise across the finance team
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
  • Support treasury management and cashflow forecasting

You will ideally have

  • ACA or ACCA qualification

  • Experience managing complex balance sheet reconciliations
  • A proven background in VAT compliance and reporting
  • Previous leadership experience within finance teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement

Experience within a large, complex organisation is essential, while exposure to ERP systems and the not-for-profit sector would be advantageous.
