You will support the Head of Finance with the day to day running of the Finance function.

You will support the Head of Finance with the day to day running of the Finance function.

  • Review and support the preparation of the monthly management accounts, including ledger reviews, control account reconciliations and variance analysis.

Understand key drivers impacting revenue fluctuations.

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure reconciliations are completed on a timely basis, and deadlines are met.

  • Assist with reporting to Head Office, including the preparation and submission of financial data, analysis and supporting schedules.

Liaise with Head Office colleagues to respond to finance queries and support Group reporting requirements.

  • Support IFRS-related queries and Group reporting adjustments, working with the Head of Finance and external advisers where necessary.
  • Review and support monthly payroll and pension scheme administration, ensuring accurate processing and appropriate reconciliation.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting, budgeting and reforecasting when required, including the preparation of supporting analysis and assumptions.
  • Provide cover and support across core finance processes, including invoicing, bank reconciliations, expenses, credit card control, reconciliation of system data etc
  • Assist with year-end and interim audit requirements, including preparation of audit schedules, responding to auditor queries and supporting the production of statutory accounts.

Keep up to date with UK GAAP changes.

  • Assist with tax calculations, computations and supporting schedules where relevant.
  • Support the Head of Finance and wider finance team with ad-hoc finance projects, analysis and operational tasks as required
  • Profile
  • Professional accountancy qualification (e. g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Have a good understanding of UK GAAP, with exposure to IFRS or Group reporting requirements being beneficial
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Have strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data clearly and accurately.
