Description Provide competent, practical and solution-focused health and safety advice to operational managers, supervisors and employees Carry out regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews, ensuring actions are clearly recorded, owned, tracked and closed out. Advise on risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work, contractor controls, permit-to-work arrangements and high-risk activities. Coach, influence and constructively challenge colleagues so Safety First is reflected in day-to-day decisions. Support regulatory, customer, insurance and certification audits, including preparation, evidence gathering, follow-up actions and lessons learned. Monitor health and safety performance data, identify trends and produce clear recommendations for managers and senior stakeholders. Maintain accurate records, action trackers and evidence so that health and safety activity is reliable and audit-ready. Lead and support investigations into accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, applying root cause analysis and ensuring actions are implemented. Develop and deliver inductions, toolbox talks, briefings and targeted training that engage operational teams.
