Job Description As an Assistant Accountant in the property industry, based in Redhill, Surrey, you'll play a key role in supporting the accounting and finance department with day-to-day financial tasks. From managing accounts to assisting with financial reporting, your work will help ensure the smooth running of operations. Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements. Maintain accurate records of transactions and reconcile accounts. Manage accounts payable and receivable tasks. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Provide assistance during audits by preparing relevant documentation. Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes. Handle ad-hoc financial tasks as required by the department. A successful Assistant Accountant should have: A background in accounting or finance, with strong GCSE/ A-Levels or equivalent. Practical experience in financial reporting and account reconciliation. Familiarity with accounting software and strong IT skills. An eye for detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
