Job Description

To deliver category budgets on sales, margin, cash profit and central income whilst ensuring the need of the retail and wholesale customers are met.

Effective management of supplier relationships ensuring market leading product ranging, pricing, promotional and supply strategies meet and exceed , where possible, annual targets set.

Client Details

A great opportunity for a Buyer -FMCG to join a group of companies in their Runcorn offices. The business has several different business units which trade across retail stores, ecommerce and independents. They are seeking a Buyer to support the trading team buying a range of branded & own brand products for the retail / ecommerce sales channels.

Description

  • Deliver Sales, Margin & Funding growth for to meet financial
  • objectives, to include, promotional planning, pricing, range, merchandising and supplier strategies.
  • To assist the trading manager in delivering a strong and balanced promotional programme across both retail and wholesale channels , which meets and supports the overall promotional strategy; sales and profit are maximised, administration is undertaken effectively and accurately, full promotional analysis is undertaken and informs future decisions & quarterly promotional plan by category is created and worked towards.
  • To ensure KPI 's are in line with budget and address any variances.
  • To monitor, report and propose actions on performance, in order to help define Strategy.
  • To deliver appropriate service levels to all internal customers ensuring all
  • deadlines & agreed actions across PST, Operations, Supply Chain, Space
  • Planning, Marketing, Finance & Communications teams are met in full and on time.
  • Assist Supply Chain team in the attainment of service and stock level KPI's in depot and 3 rd party suppliers via effective communication.
  • Support the space planning manager in the effective management of category micro space to ensure profitability levels are maintained and sales opportunities maximised across all respective categories.
  • Assist the Trading Manager as required.

Profile

  • Extensive knowledge of the consumer & wholesale supply chain, ideally FMCG.
  • Experience in negotiation of supplier promotional income for value adding activities
  • Experience of in-store layout and space allocation and emerging techniques to continually improve offering
  • Excellent supplier management skills with exposure to complex relationships.
  • Strong Financial Awareness; ability to analyse and interpret complex data.
