The role involves providing oversight of the London branch Liquidity and Market Risk Management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the delivery of a roadmap to strengthen local liquidity risk management.
  • Providing daily limit monitoring, reviewing and challenging ad-hoc limit changes and annual business reviews.
  • Reviewing and challenging liquidity stress testing methodologies and assumptions.
  • Providing oversight of Treasury and ALM activities, reviewing interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB) and structural FX risk.
  • Producing and reviewing liquidity and treasury risk MI for senior management and the ALCO committee.
  • Supporting the build-out of operational resilience for Treasury/Liquidity risk oversight across time zones.
  • Coordinating with regional stakeholders to ensure risk issues and emerging concerns are escalated appropriately and managed consistently.
  • Strengthening and maintaining local liquidity risk management governance including framework review and policy addendum.
  • Working closely with global Risk teams to align best practices and ensure local frameworks and practices meet internal expectations of the Bank and external expectations from regulators.

A successful candidate should have:

  • Circa 5-7 years of experience in ALM, Liquidity and Capital Market activities, particularly in fixed income products markets.
  • Sound understanding of market risk, liquidity risk, and stress testing.
  • Good understanding of UK regulations around liquidity and ALM.
  • A degree in economics, finance, numerical or a quantitative discipline.
  • Experience in risk management or direct experience in the financial industry.
  • Strong numerical and computational skills, particularly in VBA and Tableau; Power BI would be a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced trade floor environment with multiple priorities.

Competitive salary ranging from £90,000-£110,000 and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.
