In this role as Senior Finance Analyst you will foster a continuous improvement culture across the financial control team. You will work closely with all the Finance team including the CFO. A hands-on approach in month-end is required, along with a strong eye for detail. Stakeholder management is key, as well as collaboration and career development.

Client Details: Successful Wealth Management firm, based in London, seeking to hire a Senior Finance Analyst.

Description:

  • Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual accounting processes ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance and the timely delivery of high-quality financial results.
  • Prepare and post accounting entries ensuring the relevant backup and appropriate documentation in accordance with the journal policy.
  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly accounts (flash reporting and parent company reporting) including variance analysis and performance insights to support the wider finance function with their reporting and support the business's internal decision making.
  • Prepare key audit information for external and internal auditors ensuring timely delivery.
  • Actively collaborate with other teams within the wider finance team as well as stakeholders outside of finance to contribute to the development and delivery of processes across the month-end reporting process.
  • Understand the relevant accounting standards to accounting entries - IFRS preferable.
  • Design and implement internal controls to prevent errors, fraud and inefficiencies.
  • Seek to continuously improve the control environment and inspire others to do the same.
  • Be curious about improving processes and a self-starter in automating work.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances promptly.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform effectively under pressure and adjust plans as needed.
  • Ensure cross-training and coverage on all month-end reporting processes within the team.

Profile: A successful Senior Finance Analyst should be a newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or part qualified and still studying but with sufficient relevant experience in industry. The successful candidate will have:

  • Good understanding of accounting ledgers and management accounts process excellence.
  • Experience of balance sheet reconciliations and double entry bookkeeping.
  • Financial Services sector experience.
