The Senior Financial Accountant will directly support the Head of Finance.

Client Details: Highly regarded Investment Management firm, based in London hiring a Senior Financial Accountant. The firm has a global presence and excellent reputation, with further expansion planned for this year. Role based in London, Hybrid working, with an excellent culture.

Description: The Senior Financial Accountant will:

  • Take ownership of financial reporting for key legal entities and monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for those entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and time-frames.
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and prepare and oversee balance sheet reconciliations and prepare and review journals, accruals, prepayments, and other key accounting adjustments.
  • Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, managing deliverables and supporting an efficient audit process and prepare and review regulatory reporting for entities in the UK and other jurisdictions.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and contribute to corporate tax and VAT processes.
  • Support and strengthen the financial control environment through disciplined execution and review.
  • Support the Accounts Payable function in meeting their objectives as needed and support treasury activities, including cash flow monitoring and banking relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
  • Process payroll for UK or other entities.
  • Work with internal stakeholders in delivering responsibilities and providing financial insight to support business decision-making and review work produced by other team members, contributing to their development and delivery.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment, and support cross-entity initiatives and broader finance initiatives globally.

Profile: A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
  • Prior experience of Audit in Financial Services, desirable.
  • Proven expertise in preparing financial statements and managing reporting processes.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Experience within the financial services industry, particularly in Investment Management and financial services.
  • Regulatory reporting and review in Investment Management highly desirable.
