NUGENT are seeking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Pre-Construction Manager to the team. You will be a motivated and reliable individual who brings enthusiasm and positivity to the team and you should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. This role can be based either in our Pomeroy or Belfast Office, depending on experience and candidates location (travel may be required to our other offices from time to time).
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- You will be involved with the production and delivery of the detailed design and pre-construction activities of MEP packages from conceptual stage.
- You will lead and input to the development of designs with external consultants and subcontractors; providing best practice economical solutions and buildable methodology.
- Responsible for detailed electrical Pre-Construction designs for a variety of projects.
- Taking the tender information through from arrival in the company to the effective handover to our contracts team prior to arriving on site.
- Liaise and communicate with internal contracts team, Sub-Contractors and Suppliers throughout the project.
- Understand and analyse Mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Identify valued engineering options & any risks.
- Build relationships with our clients to promote repeat business.
- Excellent attention to detail & communication skills.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Pre-Construction role.
- Be able to demonstrate a sound electrical technical knowledge.
- Self-motivated, with a can-do approach to work and willingness to learn and assist.
- Organised and disciplined in your planning and approach to work.
- Be able to express ideas clearly in both verbal and written communication.
- Work well and confidently as part of a team in a busy estimating environment.
- Applicants must have a clean driving license.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills.
