We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced MERCHANDISER (FTC) in our LONDON office. Department Overview: Product Merchandising is a central function which is a pivotal link between the Product development & production teams in the US & the sales teams across Europe. This role will interact with most departments from Central Merchandising, Retail, Finance, Customer Services & Sales teams. This team ensures that the product assortments meet the needs of the regions whilst also supporting brand vision. This role will oversee the Footwear department across wholesale, franchise, travel retail & concessions across EMEA. This role is a temporary one-year contract that will be reporting into the VP of Merchandising, with the support of an experienced Assistant Merchandiser on the division. It sits within the wider Merchandising team with a strong network of peers. This is an exciting role that mixes strong knowledge of competition & trends in the luxury market with analytical ability. The candidate needs to be comfortable presenting to large groups, communicating to many departments & happy to travel to Milan for Market (4 times a year). What You’ll Do: LINE PLAN : Utilise both analytical data and trend analysis to build comprehensive line plans considering the needs of different regions & channel across EMEA. SAMPLE SELECTION : Balancing budget & regional needs to select samples & build exciting & interesting assortments by Showroom. SELL OUT & ANALYSIS : Manipulate large data sets to build comprehensive sell in & sell out reports. Analyse opportunities for investment & spotting trends in the data. PRICING STRATEGY : Price the collection building a strong pricing architecture in line with good, better, best strategy whilst adhering to margin targets. PRODUCT LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT : Driving conversations on mark down & protected assortment in line with sales performance & assortment planning. MANAGE TOOLS FOR MARKET : Build a strong assortment for market & ensure all relevant tools are prepared which aid selling including the photoshoot, getting line sheets & digital assets ready & communication of any changes to samples. BUY ROLL UP : Roll up the buy & utilise ATS, protecting units whilst ensuring MOQs are met. INBOUND REPORTING: Review & monitor inbound shipment to ensure they are in line with delivery windows, working with cross functional teams to manage any late or early shipments. TREND ANALYSIS & MARKET RESEARCH: Visit stores & build reports on trend and market analysis. You’ll Need to Have: Education (Degree) Years of experience (5+) Presenting to large groups (100 people +) Communication Skills to various levels in the business.
